this movie was heavy as fuck! & most of the time I didn’t even know what was going on. but, I really liked the last room that they stayed in. lol

I had to read this book for my Literary Las Vegas class this past summer. I still haven’t finished it. The movie and the book are too confusing for me lol.

Each tagged person must post ten things about themselves. You have to choose and tag ten people. Go to their blogs and tell them you tagged them. No tag backs.

1. I’ve had a Tumblr for almost two years. I’m pretty boring, so I hardly post anything on here. I just follow people I find interesting.

2. I have a knack for making things awkward in social situations. Don’t know how it happens, it just does.

3. I’ve been an actor for about 3 years. Hoping to do more plays in the future.

4. I’m crooked. Like literally. Ever hear of scoliosis? Yeah, I have it.

5. I like turtles.

6. I love to travel. I hope to go back to Japan one day. Maybe as a graduation present to myself or something.

7. I’m pretty slow sometimes.

8. Sometimes, I imagine that karma will come back to haunt me in very painful ways. It sucks :(

9. I want to go on an adventure. Like, a really awesome one.

10. I love being surrounded by friends and family that love me :) <3

During my senior year in high school, Hawaii experienced a 6.7 magnitude earthquake. I wrote the following article for my school’s newspaper. Thought I would share it with you all in regards to recent events:

“October 15, 2006, is a day I’m sure most of us will never forget. While some of us were sleeping, a 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck near the Big Island, rudely awakening many Hawaii residents.

I was in a deep and peaceful slumber early that morning, when I heard a loud, rumbling noise. My eyes jolted open and my bed began to shake. My father knocked on my bedroom door, asking if I “felt that”. With my bed still rumbling I replied with a sarcastic, “yeah”. Immediately after, the loud noise returned and the whole apartment complex began to shake.

“Get out!” my father screamed as he ran for the door. After a few seconds of trying to untangle myself from my sheets, I rushed to join my father outside. A woman screaming in the distance and the sound of glass shattering could be heard as the shaking eventually began to subside.

After talking with neighbors, my father and I went back into the apartment. I was on the computer when a smaller earthquake occurred. We rushed to the door again, but the shaking had already stopped. Ten minutes later, the power went out. Not only the electrical items in the house but also our cellular phones did not work. There was no way to get in touch with loved ones or to find out what was going on.

Since my father works at a power plant that converts waste to energy, he had to go into work to see if everything was all right. He dropped me off at my mom’s house and went off to work.

When my mom finally woke up, she turned on the radio so we could listen to what was going on. My stepdad, a paramedic for the city, changed into his uniform to go to work. He was called in to staff extra ambulances in an emergency response to help “beef up the forces”.

All this “excitement” made me think about the end of time. In Matthew 24, the disciples asked Jesus, “What will be the sign of your coming and the end of age?” Jesus replied, “…you will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows”.

Think about the things that are going on in the world today. We are definitely in the end times. We can sit around and wait for these signs to pass us, but in the end will you be ready for Christ’s return?”
